The Pittsburgh Penguins kept rolling along with a 5-2 win over the New Jersey Devils Tuesday night, but lost yet another defenseman in the process.
Brian Dumoulin took a puck to the face in the third period and will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a broken jaw, which was captured with perfect timing by the AP.

The Penguins have already been without Olli Maatta, Kris Letang and Trevor Daley. Maatta may return Wednesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes, while Letang and Daley could be back before the team enjoys their bye week in the first week of January.

If Maatta isn’t back from his illness for the Hurricanes game, the Penguins’ defense would be down to Ian Cole, Steve Oleksy, Derrick Pouliot, Chad Ruhwedel, Justin Schultz and whoever is called up from Wilkes-Barre of the AHL before game time. It would also mean they will have had 11 defensemen play this season, a number only matched by the Buffalo Sabres.
